Head of Conference Committee:
Univ.-Prof. Herbert Fitzek

You are cordially invited to attend the international 17th Scientific Convention of the GTA at the Business School Potsdam (Germany), on March 30–April 2nd, 2011.

Development and Organization are core topics of Gestalt psychology. Kurt Lewin defined them as basic concepts of a psychological analysis of social and economical issues. The conference essentially refers to the question, how Gestalt and field theory give an insight on the dynamics of groups and institutional processes. Furthermore, it will focus on their contribution to a psychological diagnosis and consultation of organizational cultures.

But the conference theme – Gestalt - Organization - Development – is intended to suggest rather than restrict topics for consideration. Presentations may focus specifically on this conference theme or on other related subjects from a variety of fields of research and application of Gestalt theory which serve the discussion and advancement of the Gestalt-theoretical approach. In this way the meeting is open for theoretical and practical presentations and discussions on Gestalt - Development - Organization also in other fields of science, research and application in the sense of an interdisciplinary dialogue.

Part of the convention will be an excursion on Saturday to Berlin sites relevant for Gestalt theory´s history.

The program of the conference will feature plenary lectures, workshops and poster sessions. Conference languages are German and English.
