Dr. Franz Mechsner

Neurobiologist, Senior Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Psychological Research

FM is a neurobiologist by education. After having worked as a novelist and free lance journalist, he is currently a senior researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Psychological Research. His main interest concerns perceptual and cognitive aspects of human movement control.
In 2003 he received the 2nd price in the Wolfgang Metzger Award 2002 for his work on "Gestalt Factors in Human Movement Coordination" (published in Gestalt Theory 25 (4/2003), 225-245.
